Clarks Kids X National Geographic

Clarks Kids X National Geographic have launched an exclusive range of sustainable fashion-forward shoes for tots through to teens. The collaboration aims to inspire and educate our children to be more eco-wise, and more aware of the animals who live it in.

The colourful collection is inspired by some of the 9,000 amazing species featured within the National Geographic Photo Ark, which is a global initiative dedicated to documenting every animal from bugs to big cats, to help raise awareness of threatened species and inspire us to help those creatures who are at risk of extinction. The initiative is a part of the #savetogether campaign which is building awareness of threatened animals.

The print design of the shoes features threatened animals such as the Poison Dart Frog, the Harlequin File Fish, the African Leopard and many more.

The collection has a sustainability commitment and uses renewable material within each design. For instance, the upper canvas on the City Geo is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and the comfy foam insoles are made from recyclable materials. Each shoe box is made from 90% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable too. The quality and comfort of these shoes are not compromised in any way and they meet all the expectations I had from a Clarks Kids shoe. Both Finn and Olivia have road tested the shoes and are very comfortable running, jumping and climbing in them and not a smelly foot or a blister in sight.
