The Lonely Planet, has recently published their TOP TEN COOLEST PLACES to visit on the planet and TOOTING (South West London) has been featured! We moved to Tooting over two years ago and we haven’t looked back. It’s hip, vibrant & fun with so many cool places to eat, drink or just hang. I totally understand why SW17 has earned this uber worthy crown.
So here is why I think Tooting rocks;
⚡️It’s the most friendly place in London, I’ve ever lived.
⚡️Tooting Commons. Awww the beautiful Commons. Come rain or shine there is always something to do. Visit the ducks, the playground, the tennis courts, the sandpit, explore the woods, grab an coffee at the cafe or just take a picnic and chill.
⚡️Tooting & Broadway Market. These two markets are an Aladdins cave of restaurants, bars, cafes, clothing shops, music shops, you name it, you’ll find it here!
⚡️The Lido. Tooting Lido is the UKs biggest Lido with its own kids pool.
⚡️Playgroups. There are so many but my fav is All Saints Playgroup. It is run by a group of lovely mothers and is filled with lots of great activities. It also has a great outdoor space too.
⚡️Athletes track. Ones day you will see me on there.
⚡️Festivals Fever; Tootpia, Tooting Festival, Tooting Foodival, Ritherdon Road
⚡️Coffee shops. What mother doesn’t love a coffee shop. Tooting isn’t short of these and here are our favourites Kitchen Table, Green Monkey, Dee Light Bakery, Tartine, Mud, Pedalback Cafe, Brickwood.
⚡️Restaurant heaven. Here are a few of our favourites; The Little Taperia, Tota, Dip & Flip burgers Harrington Pie & Mash and the endlessly Indian restaurants. Luckily Indian is one of my favourite cuisine.
⚡️Bars & Pubs; Imperial Dunbar, The Whetshef Rose & Crown, The Selkirk, The Castle, Little Bar.
⚡️Dancing til late at Ekcovision
